How to merge, split and reorder PDF pages without uploading them

Contracts, scanned receipts, reports and application packs rarely arrive as one tidy file. Usually you need to combine a few PDFs, drop a blank page, fix a sideways scan and send only part of the result. The PDF Merger & Splitter does all of this in your browser, so the documents never leave your device.

Start with a visual page plan

Drop one or more PDFs into the tool. Every page appears as a thumbnail, labelled with its position, source file and original page number (for example F2·p3). The grid is your page plan: the exported file follows exactly the order you see.

  • Drag a thumbnail onto another position to move it.
  • Use the arrow buttons for precise one-step moves, which also work well on touch screens.
  • Duplicate a page when a cover sheet or signature page must appear twice.
  • Delete pages you do not need instead of exporting and cleaning up later.

Fix orientation before exporting

Scanners often save landscape pages sideways. Rotate an individual page with its rotate button, or select several pages and rotate them together. Rotation is stored in the PDF page itself, so text, links and vector graphics stay sharp instead of being converted into images.

Select pages quickly

The selection bar can pick all, odd, even or inverted pages. Odd and even selection is useful for double-sided scans: select one side, rotate it, or export it separately. Download selected creates a new PDF that contains only the highlighted pages in their current order.

Split by range or into equal parts

Open the Split tab when one document must become several:

  • Page range accepts values such as 1-3, 5, 8-. Numbers refer to the current order shown in the grid.
  • Pages per file splits the document into equal parts, such as every two pages for front-and-back forms.
  • Split into single pages produces one file for each page.

Check the result

Open the downloaded file once before sending it. Confirm the page count, the first and last pages, and the orientation of any rotated scans. If the merged file is too large for an email limit, run it through the PDF Compressor afterwards. To add notes or a signature, continue in the PDF Viewer & Editor.

Limits worth knowing

Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked before their pages can be copied. Very large scans use significant device memory while thumbnails render, so merge them in smaller groups if the tab becomes slow. Bookmarks from the source files are not carried into the new document.
