How is an IBAN validated?

The first four characters move to the end, letters become numbers (A=10 … Z=35), and the resulting number must leave a remainder of 1 when divided by 97.

Does a valid IBAN mean the account exists?

No. The checksum only proves the number is well formed; only the bank can confirm the account exists.

Can I check several IBANs at once?

Yes, put one IBAN per line and every line is validated independently.

Is my data uploaded to a server?
