Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The segmentation model runs locally with WebAssembly, so your image stays in the browser tab the whole time.

Why is the first run slow?

The AI model files (around 40 MB) are downloaded once and cached by the browser. Later runs start almost instantly.

What images work best?

Clear subjects with reasonable contrast — people, products, animals and logos. Very fine hair or glass edges can need touch-ups.

Can I add a coloured background instead?

Yes, switch the background option to Solid colour and pick any colour; the cutout is recomposited instantly.

Which format should I download?

PNG or WebP keep transparency. JPEG has no alpha channel, so it always gets a solid backdrop.
