Text to Speech / Voice

Uses your browser's built-in speech engine

Status: idle

Download audio file

Browsers can't record their own speech engine, so downloads are rendered with a studio voice and saved to your device.

Up to 4,000 characters per file. The rate slider also sets the download speed.

Tips

Getting the best results

  • Available voices depend on your operating system and browser.
  • Rate controls speaking speed, pitch controls tone, and volume controls loudness.
  • Playback is generated locally by your device; only the download option renders a file.
  • Use Pause/Resume mid-sentence, or Stop to cancel immediately.

About the Text to Speech / Voice

Type or paste text and have it read aloud using the browser's built-in Web Speech API, with a picker for installed voices and sliders for rate, pitch, and volume, plus play, pause, and stop controls. You can also render the same text with a studio voice and download it as an audio file.
